Everyone remembers those appropriate awards that we received in high school. I was awarded to be an Opera Singer. I have recently found a musical group which suits my style in music perfectly--It's called IL DIVO. Have any of you heard their music? It's phenomenal! Listening to them sing makes me want to pursue music more than before, probably because I didn't think my vocal talent would be desirable to the public. However, their success gives me hope. 3 of them were classically trained, like myself. Unfortunately, I don't look like them-not to mention I'm a woman!!! (it's a group of 4 men) ha ha. I recently went to a counselor and he encouraged me to do more with my singing. There's nothing like being encouraged in an area that I've always dreamed of pursuing! Have any of you decided that you would pursue a life-long dream? Success? Failures? Anyone??

I definetly think that a life-long dream is worth pursuing!!! Especially when you are as good as you are. I am so glad that you do this blog. I check it daily and I love that I can keep up with your life a little now.

I would vote you most likely to be an opera singer also! Having something that you are passionate about is WONDERFUL. I STILL haven't found out what I want to be when I grow up, but I realized that's OK. Sometimes it takes awhile to become familiar with, and explore, the options that unfold before us in our journey through life. And we really do have eternity to figure it out. That's rather nice, I think.
I am all about my wife being happy. If that is in singing opera, then look out world, here we come!!
