Don’t give up. Don’t you quit. You keep walking. You keep trying. There is help and happiness ahead. You keep your chin up. It will be all right in the end. Trust God and believe in good things to come. Some blessings come soon, some come late, and some don’t come until heaven; but for those who embrace the gospel of... Jesus Christ, they come. -Elder Jeffrey R. Holland

Scrapbooking Day
I went to take the girls to school and then swam laps at the YMCA. It was rainy when I got there--not what you want when you're about to swim. Somehow the idea of swimming (even if it is inside) doesn't mesh with wet weather outside. I came home and read scrippys, practiced the piano & my audition pieces plus a lovely song by Sally Deford that I'm working on called For Me Alone. It's a wonderful song, I'm looking forward to singing it soon. Because of all of my cleaning efforts yesterday--I promised myself that I'd scrapbook today, and I did. I'm working on a scrapbook of my childhood. It's weird scrapbooking for myself as opposed to Anna, but I enjoy seeing pictures of when I was little and comparing them to what Anna looks like now. We definitely don't look the same, but there are some similarities. So much for cookie cutter kids! Speaking of my adorable little girl, she asked me how to snap today. That's not an easy thing to teach and she quickly became frustrated by not doing it on her first try. Also, she has discovered her modesty. She tells me that I must close my eyes when she gets dressed. Very cute. She has her own ideas on things and is quite opinionated. While going through some journal entries that my mom made about me--I don't think Anna could escape being an independent thinker, she can't escape her genes.
