Don’t give up. Don’t you quit. You keep walking. You keep trying. There is help and happiness ahead. You keep your chin up. It will be all right in the end. Trust God and believe in good things to come. Some blessings come soon, some come late, and some don’t come until heaven; but for those who embrace the gospel of... Jesus Christ, they come. -Elder Jeffrey R. Holland

The effect of OPERA
I've had a tough day today--so much to do and therefore all the stress that comes with it. I looked on youtube for some calming music. Anna Netrebko is phenomenal. Is it possible that music can both stress me out and calm me down as well?!? It's nice to hear a song like this which reminds me that it's all worth it. No matter what I end up doing with my musical training, it's worth the effort.
Poor little Anna came home from school early today--she threw up at school. We rearranged our schedule and had a girl from church come over and stay with her while I had my Italian class. Have I mentioned that my italian teacher is from Ireland? Funny, eh? Anyhow, I had my first quiz in there. It went fairly well. Some of the things she asked us to study weren't on the quiz, while there were some new things on it that we haven't covered yet...ha ha. I'm learning quite a bit (I think) and hopefully will be able to retain it all when I begin learning french & german.

She really is amazing. Awesome. I love opera. Did you know that?
Are all of the languages for your opera stuff?
It is so hard to go to school when you have kids. Jill, you are amazing. Don't be too tough on yourself. Just try to look at things one day, and sometimes one hour or one minute, at a time.
I didn't know you loved opera! That's awesome!
It's required for my music performance degree to learn 2 out of the 3 languages: italian, german, & french. However, I want to learn all 3...just because. :o)
I love Opera also. She really is quite an amazing lady.
Elijah got his first red at school yesterday. Hooray!! Lets see if we can keep it to once a month.
