So, I went to the library to check out the Marriage of Figaro cd & the dvd. So, me & Figaro...we're good friends now. What's that, you say? You aren't family with The Marriage of Figaro? Then, just listen to this youtube...you might be surprised how well you know Figaro!
Today I took my first test. Yeah, I had one lecture in music theory and then we had our first test. I studied and prepared like no tomorrow, or a lot anyhow, and was super duper prepared for the test. I was done in 15 minutes. It didn't contain all of the lecture, so I was over-prepared, but I'm sure it will help me in the long-run.
I came home & taught a voice lesson, then went VT with Sarah, which was nice. Then I had my Italian class. She's moving really slow in the course, I'm wondering how much I'm going to learn in there for the first quarter. I don't know if I should complain or just be glad that it's one less thing I need to do right now...
I received an email about the Dayton Opera chorus auditions. That might be fun---I'm going to talk with my voice teacher to see if that would be right for me. I figure that I might as well audition--to get used to that--and if I don't get in, no problem. If I do get in--more experience for me in the world of Opera. Either way, it's worth a shot, right?

I got to see this, and Barber of Seville at the Santa Fe Opera, which is outdoors. Way cool. Strange how the "Figaro" song isn't in the Figaro opera, it is in Barber of Seville...
Figaro reminds me of Fig Newtons....
