Don’t give up. Don’t you quit. You keep walking. You keep trying. There is help and happiness ahead. You keep your chin up. It will be all right in the end. Trust God and believe in good things to come. Some blessings come soon, some come late, and some don’t come until heaven; but for those who embrace the gospel of... Jesus Christ, they come. -Elder Jeffrey R. Holland

Fun idea
I thought of a fun idea for those kids who aren't going on the adoption trip. Below are some pictures of gifts that I have wrapped, along with a card and one snack (usually matching the gift, like a barbie dvd with a box of barbie cereal) that I will take to each house that my daughter will be staying while we're away. (4 houses, in this case) Plus here is a picture of my adorable daughter, Anna, that you can all "ooh" and "aah" at. She is an absolute DOLL and I just love her SO much! I hope that she will be entertained by the gifts that her Mama has wrapped just for her - the best part of it all? It's a surprise! She doesn't even know about them. If she did, well, let's just say that I wouldn't hear about anything else before I left for Ukraine. ;o)

Wow! It's almost your turn! I'm so excited for you. The gifts look like a fun idea.

That is a great idea. I am sure Anna will have a fun time while you are gone. She will miss you. You are a great mom. She will have reminders everywhere she goes that you are thinking of her and love her.
How sweet! I love that idea. Those gifts will give her something to look forward to, and help get her mind off missing you!
I did a similar thing when we went to Serbia for our adoption. I left a "treasure box" for the kids to choose one item a day. I also left a calendar they could cross out a day for every day we were gone to "count down." My kiddos are 4 and 6 and that seemed to help a lot. I am so happy you are going soon. Take some sleep aide with you in case the adrenaline lasts while you are in Ukraine. I am SO excited for you!

What a creative idea, Jill. She will be fine. I happened to notice her with the family she's staying with at church and she was very happy amidst all those girls. ;)
