In January 2008, my new friend, Charissa, adopted her adorable daughter, Ava, in Artemovsk, Ukraine. While she was there she took these pictures of my son, Keith.

Can you see Keith reaching for Ava's hat strings? That's SO like Keith, who loves playing with his cords. ;o) Now, contrast these pictures with more recent ones. I can already see a difference! Plus, he's gained two pounds already! Woo-hoo! If nothing else - look at how happy he is now! :o)

My friend, Carrie, sent this shirt for Keith. If you can't see it very clearly, it says: "My dad is my hero." This seems to fit in so many ways. Thanks for the shirt, Carrie!

Amazing! He looks so HEALTHY compared to those pictures! I hope you can inspire others to take a chance and make a difference in the lives of more little ones! God Bless!

He looks...vibrant. A lot of love, some stability, and medical care can make such a difference. You should totally post again in a year-the kids will probably look so different.

You are fortunate to have these younger pictures of him. The first pictures we have of either of our kids is the day we met them. You can tell how much he's thriving.

he looks so much more like a little boy now and not so much like a baby. I saw him on RR when he was on there and it always amazed me how "baby like" he looked. he is blossoming into a real little boy now!
