Organization

I absolutely love to be organized - it makes life so much easier! This week I created a job chart for my family AND I made a dinner calendar for the rest of the month of February. No more "what am I cooking for dinner tonight" or "Mom, can we go out to Wendy's since it's 8pm and we haven't eaten yet" or me ordering another pizza from Papa Johns since I don't have anything prepared. Poor Papa Johns, they might go under without our business...

So, today I went grocery shopping for all the meals for this month. It felt so good to come home with ingredients for actual meals, instead of just using coupons for random things and not really have a plan. There were days that I came home from the store and STILL didn't know what I was making for dinner that day. Well, no more. I think this dinner calendar will be something I will be using each month from now on.

Speaking of cooking, I have put together another blog: THE WARRIOR KITCHEN. This month I am going to focus on Main Dishes. So if you're looking for something new to make, check out the blog.

And to follow up on the Heritage Idol competition - no, I didn't win. I saw who the winners were and they were very talented. That was another fun thing about competing - getting to hear talented singers. That was nice. I was amazed at most of the competitors - they were so confident in themselves. I hope that someday I will feel that confident up on the stage. My next audition is next month - I can't wait!

Keith's recent phrase: "pick it up".

So cool! I really need to get more organized for my family! It seems like I'll start something like that, and then I'm just not able or disciplined enough to keep up with it, so it flops. But thanks for the inspiration Jill!
So you're auditioning again? Is this for a different competition or something?

Sounds like things are going well. Congrats on your singing!!! And congrats on being willing to keep your standards even when it was tempting not to. You are an inspiration!!! Thanks for your thoughts and strength!!!

I wonder where Keith learned that phrase? he he

Wow can't believe you didn't win, you have such a beautiful voice. Your doing good though, lots of audtions will give you confidence on stage and that's alot.

Oh, I'm totally with you on getting organized in the meal planning area! I am just starting to get into it, with taking lunch to work 4 times a week, eating out once (in Hungary, the main, hot meal is at midday), and planning for that.

Do you mind if I link your cooking blog on the English recipe blog we do with my friends?
