Prayer Warrior

Last night we finally found a hotel to stay at, the last leg of our Spring Break vacation. This morning, after breakfast and packing up, we got in Bonnie (our bonnie blue van) and tried to start her up for our trek home. Only, Bonnie didn't want to start up the engine - she wanted to blare her alarm at us. This happened another time during this week and it left Tyler standing out in the cold, rainy 50 degree weather for 2 hours, waiting on the roadside assistance to arrive, only to have Bonnie start working again. We knew that we were going to have to take Bonnie in for some TLC, but we wanted to get home first and not be stranded over an hour from home.

Tyler says that I am a prayer warrior when it comes to praying for technological things to work. You know, the computer to be able to upload that file that it hasn't uploaded, the phone to work, etc. When I pray for them to work, God answers my prayers. So, when Bonnie's alarm was blaring and it wouldn't allow for us to drive the van, Tyler asked us to have a family prayer and for ME to pray for help. I prayed and 10 minutes later...you guessed it...Bonnie was working just fine and we were on our way home. I don't write this to boast in any way, I know that it is God who has made these things happen - not me. I am just grateful for His help.

We came home, unloaded, and Tyler took Bonnie to the dealership. They said to come back on Monday, which we will do. Let's hope Bonnie can get fixed up that day. :)

I was able to watch the second session of General Conference today - we were driving through the first one. It was so wonderful. I love hearing the Prophet and his apostles speak about Jesus Christ and how we can return back to him. I look forward to the last 2 sessions tomorrow. If interested, click here. I liked Boyd K Packer's talk on the name of our church: The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He said that it's okay for others to refer to our church by the name "Mormons" but that we should say the full name or Latter Day Saints. I went to the BX to buy a wii game today and I had a nice conversation with the cashier. She ended up asking me what church I belong to, and I was able to tell her The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. It felt good to be following the teachings of an apostle, within hours of his talk! Pretty neat! I am so blessed to be a member of this church.
