Take your time

One of my favorite phrases of all is, "Take your time." Whenever anyone says this to me, I immediately feel as though I can remove some pressure from myself.

Life can move pretty swiftly at times and being over 400 pounds, it is challenging for me to feel like I can keep up. But, is keeping up what I need to focus on?

I have wondered at my health problems, the issues which directly relate to my weight, and whenever I pray about my difficulties doing this or that, I have heard the spirit speak to me and ask me this pertinent question: Are you able to do everything that you need to do? This question stops me, because there is nothing in my life that I am unable to do that needs to be done.

Another feeling that I have had in prayer is that my weight slows me down, so that I can reflect upon all the many blessings that I have and enjoy. I am richly blessed with so many blessings.

Knowing the personality that I have, I have wondered how busy I might become if I weighed less. Would I still take the time to spend with my kids the way that I do now? Would my children be able to snuggle me as often, or would I be running here and there to accomplish this and that?

Despite having a desire to focus on losing weight, I have felt impressed to wait and instead focus on improving my mental health. I don't have a specific book or program that I'm doing, but whenever I spend time to write out what is on my mind or what is bothering me, I feel the spirit guiding me and I know that I'm on the right path.

The one thing that we all have on this earth is time. I invite you to take your time. After all, it is YOURS to choose to spend how you wish.
