We went to the "morning" session at the church building. I say "morning" because it began at noon here. We live in the eastern time zone here in Ohio and the local people say this is the mid-west. I thought Oklahoma was in the mid-west...this feels pretty EAST to me!!! So the session was wonderful, of course. Although, Anna struggled with having to be quiet for 2 hours in a dark chapel. Poor girl. However, she enjoyed seeing the prophet. We decided to listen to the last session at home, which was nice, but I prefer to see the speakers.
For dinner, I was brave and made pork chops with homemade gravy. I was thrilled that my first attempt to make homemade gravy was excellent!! One of Tyler's favorite meals is fried chicken with homemade gravy. I watched both Kent, my stepdad, and Melanie, my MIL each make fried chicken with homemade gravy in Oklahoma, in hopes to learn the ropes. I guess I did! Hooray!
I recently ordered a book called "52 weeks of family night: fast & easy lessons for young families." It is an excellent resource! I don't know about any of you, but it's difficult to get through a lengthy lesson with a 4-year-old! However, these lessons are only a few paragraphs long! I bought it on ldsliving.com for anyone who's interested in it. Well that's it for now!
