Wow, didn't you just LOVE General Conference? My husband likes to go to the church for every session. I grew up watching it at home or at my Grandma's house & I enjoyed that relaxed situation--but I must admit, I learn a LOT more by being dressed up & at the church. I have about 10 pages of notes from the 4 sessions I attended. I hope to implement the promptings that I received during the talks given. I don't handle general criticism very well, but when I hear a talk on a subject that I don't do very well--I don't have a problem hearing it.
After the last session we went over to Eldon & Shannon's house to hang out a bit. We took a walk down to a nearby pond and fed the fish. It was nice & relaxing.
I think I'm going to start reading a book: A Marvelous Work And A Wonder by Legrand Richards. I want to broaden my understanding of the gospel and that seems like a great book to do that. Has anyone read that book?

I found this new template and thought it would be a nice change. It's perfect for the Autumn/Winter that I am. :)
I thought I would list a couple of pictures of that Strawberries & Cream cake I made on friday...YUM! I love it when the berries are in season again! I'm actually contemplating the idea of growing some strawberries...

How random. Scott and I just started reading A Marvelous Work and a Wonder last week. We read a bit every night. I enjoyed conference as well, though I did so from my sofa. I really enjoyed the talk on forgiveness and I was actually kinda shocked by the talk on divorce. I just didn't realize the statistics were like that regarding divorce v. staying in an unhappy marriage or divorce v. death of a spouse. There was an Ensign article about something like that recently. An attorney thought a woman had very good grounds for a divorce but, even so, she later regretted it. I guess I never thought that seriously about divorce since it is so common in my family.
I read A Marvelous Work and a Wonder while I was on my mission (back then, it was part of the missionary library), and it really helped me. He explains everything very well and gives a bunch of background information on basic principles. I highly recommend it and am glad to hear you're reading it :). Wasn't Conference great? It's so nice to hear counsel from the Lord's servants!
That cake looks so good. Thanks for the chocolate chip banana bread. It is YUM!
By the way, I love what you did with the site. It's so pretty! Maybe one of these days Cody and I will actually edit that website we keep talking about publishing...
