Blueberries are patriotic, right?

I slept in this morning, it was wonderful. Today was pretty slow-going. I did some dishes, read my scrippys, practiced the piano...

Leia came over & swam with Anna. They had a great time. They swam and then I asked them what they wanted to eat for lunch. I gave them some options, which included: macaroni & cheese, chicken nuggets, spaghettios, & sub sandwiches. Anna quickly voted for macaroni & cheese, while Leia said, "I want oreos!" "HUH?"...oh, spaghettios. Maybe she hasn't eaten them before. Although, I don't think I'd be too upset about a lunch consisting of oreos...

After Leia went home, I was eager to accomplish something, so I went to ALDI's and bought some milk, sea salt & sweetened condensed milk. Monday, as you know is Memorial Day and since that's a patriotic holiday, we should have blueberries. And the best way to have them is in my Mother-in-law's fabulous recipe for Blueberry Ice Cream. Here it is:

2 cans sweetened condensed milk
1 pint whipping cream (oh yeah)
2 tsp vanilla
frozen bag of blueberries
milk

Blend the condensed milk & whipping cream together. Add vanilla. Pour into large ice cream maker. Add blueberries. Fill with milk to the line. Freeze. As I type this I can hear the ice cream maker going...it's only a matter of time now...
