WOW

Hi everyone, I happened upon this site and it is a must-see. As you probably know the FDA doesn’t regulate anything that is put in to cosmetics (which includes makeup, shampoos, conditioners, lotions, sunscreens, etc) There are chemicals in some products that are very toxic and they don’t have to disclose it. This site has a huge database of cosmetics and it gives ratings on a scale of 0 – 10, 10 being the most toxic. Results may surprise you. I use to use L’Oreal’s Kids shampoo for my girls but I found out it is very toxic. You can type in to the database the name of any of your products you use and it will tell you how safe they are. Be sure to check out your sunscreen. It tells you if the sunscreen is toxic AND if it really works.

Jill,

Ugh still don't remember my sign-in information. This is Kristina!

Yes I am well aware of the chemicals..I blogged about it some time ago on my blog, too (my rarely updated blog.) This is why I make my own cleaners, and buy the safer organic body care products for my boys.

Don't even get me started on plastics. Never store your food in plastic or heat your food in plastic!!
