How to bake a banana

This morning I went to the YMCA to exercise--but mainly to weigh in. The weather has been so nice, that I've been walking around my neighborhood instead of driving 10 minutes to walk on a treadmill. I lost 1 pound! Which brings me to a total of 17 pounds in the past 9 weeks, and I now weigh 313 pounds. Very exciting! I just hope that my knee will heal quickly so I can walk more than just 20 minutes at a time...I haven't been exercising very much because it hurts when I do. Grrr! Of course, you might wonder why I'm exercising at all when my knee is hurting...?

Classes went well today. I had my first voice lesson. I'm exciting about my instructor--I was amazed at how much better I sang when he told me to change the way that I breathe--I didn't even recognize my voice, it sounded so different. More lyrical, less mezzo-y. Got that?

In my opera class I have been cast in a scene from The Marriage of Figaro. I was nervous when we were handed our parts and then expected to sight read it right then IN CLASS--but when I saw that other people couldn't read their parts perfectly, I relaxed and was able to enjoy myself. From what I've seen of it--it's a comical opera! I'm excited to be a part of it.

While packing my lunch this morning, I took along a banana that was just beginning to ripen--with the few flecks on it (just the way I like bananas). In my hurry to my 9am class, I left the banana in the car...when I returned to my car-around 7pm-the banana was completely BLACK and my car smelled like bananas...I guess that's one type of air freshner...

Philip: it's better than stinky diapers, which is your usual style.

hahaha, I love bananas, but not banana smell, so that wouldn't really appeal to me.

I'm glad you got a good teacher. I know you were worried about him at first. How exciting to see improvements so soon!
