My Dreams

I'm not sure when I developed the desire to learn languages, but I have a goal of learning to speak 5 languages. Thus far I have successfully learned English, Spanish (for the most part, except past tense verbs), and a little of chinese (very very little). And I can't speak it, but I can type in हिन्दी. And now I'm taking Italiano, which is molto bene. Next year I am planning to learn german, and then french. I think that french will be the hardest, I'm afraid of that language. I don't know how people can look at a word like avoirdupois or soupçon or aussitôt and know how to pronounce it. With words like those, it's amazing that anyone can speak french. What about those words that end in eaouix or eau? Talk about confusing...anyhow, I got a little sidetracked, but one of my dreams is to speak 5 languages. And I'm happy to report that I'm "working on" this dream. :o)

Another dream of mine is to sing professionally. Again, I am (finally!) working on this dream. I hope that I will have the opportunity to develop my voice to the potential that it has.

I want to lose weight, & thus far I've lost 20 pounds since July. My goal is to weigh 180 pounds. Right now I weigh 309, so that's about 129 more pounds to go. It's exciting to be on a plan that is working for me.

A dream for me is to be caught up on my scrapbooking. (no, really it is). I am over 2 years behind in my family's scrapbook and have just begun a scrapbook of my childhood. I am hoping to turn my attention that this fun project once I finish my finals mid-november. :o)

I have a dream of being debt-free and being able to help others financially.

I have a dream of having a year's supply of food storage.

I have a dream of owning a real swimming pool in my backyard.

I have a dream of having a whirlpool tub in my bathroom.

I have a dream of having more children.

I have a dream of serving many missions with my husband.

I have been blessed with a beautiful life and I hope to return & live with my Heavenly Father someday.

Those are wonderful dreams, Jill! And they're all definitely attainable, which is even better. Keep working hard and reaching to fulfill those dreams and you'll know satisfaction like never before, I'm sure of it!

Now see, that's just silly! Anyone can make a stab at avoirdupois (agh-vwar-do-pwaw) but who the heck can even guess how to pronounce हिन्दी ???? lol

I wish I had your gift for learning languages. Don't be scared of French. It's such a beautiful language and has many similarities to Spanish - which you already know so well. :o)
