Moving on

I have removed the picture of Nastya (Kayta) now on my blog(s). It was hard to do, because when her picture is no longer there - the reality sets in that she won't be mine. However, I'm coming to terms with this and am trying to be optimistic that very soon I will be in Ukraine and will be able to find another girl who is right for our family and who will be Nick's & Anna's sister. We have completely finished our dossier and it is going to be mailed to Ukraine once the facilitator is back in the capital, Kiev. Apparantly, things shut down in Ukraine during the month of August for country-wide vacations. (just my luck) So once everything is back and going - we should hear back from them what our appointment date will be. I'm still hoping for september, but it may be late september or even october. I'm trying to be optimistic, even though I have no ability to make the date happen earlier. ;o)

It's great to hear from you guys again. I am glad you decided to go forward with the adoption of "Nick" and hopfully find him a little sister. Maybe you will find out more about the couple that adopted his bio sister and can stay in touch.

So very sorry you are going through this, I have been through the same, it is so heartbreaking and yet you heal eventually. She will always be in your heart and feel like she is part of your family.

I brought home Kara, she is such a wonderful, sweet, and stubborn little girl, I am so happy God chose her for us, I am excited to see who he has waiting there for you.

We submitted in September last year and begged for a 2007 travel date, our first was January this year, but luckily we got it changes to November. I hope you are able to get a 2008 travel date.

I am so sorry that this has happened. I had to do the same thing when I lost a little boy in April. God will heal the pain with time and you will be shown the glory of His plan.

We are in the same boat, waiting for vacations to be over! So sorry about your girl, glad she has a family though and the two of you will be forever entwined together. Once Nick is your's you can petition the SDA on his behalf to give you the other family's information as he has a legal right to it, if you don't have it already. May God continue to give you strength, peace and wisdom! God Bless!
