Don’t give up. Don’t you quit. You keep walking. You keep trying. There is help and happiness ahead. You keep your chin up. It will be all right in the end. Trust God and believe in good things to come. Some blessings come soon, some come late, and some don’t come until heaven; but for those who embrace the gospel of... Jesus Christ, they come. -Elder Jeffrey R. Holland

This is one way to develop patience
So our dossier is in Kiev now. I'm told that it is being translated today and should be done in 3 days or so. Then in early september our dossier will be presented to the SDA in Ukraine. Then they will take up to a month to determine our travel date - so it's looking more like we'll be in Ukraine in october, sometime. Of course I'm always hopeful for one day sooner! This experience reminds me of a prayer that I prayed a few years ago when I was lacking patience with my now 6 year-old daughter, Anna. I prayed that I would have patience with Anna and swift came the answer to my mind: she's here to teach you patience. So, this is another experience to teach me patience. You would think I would've learned by now, eh? ;o)

Our hope is to be right there with you!!!! And since Daisy is in the same orhpanage as Nick, maybe we will be able to meet up and see each other so we won't be in total culture shock! : )
Congrats!
Good luck Jill!
Yay, cogratulations!! I am hoping our dossier will be next. Maybe we will be there together?
Just found your blog via craigslist of all things! We are in Miamisburg, Ohio. We are in the adoptiong process for Ethiopia. Your fundraising caught my eye, we are in the same boat!

Patience is such a hard thing to learn... Each trial is a learning experience. I'm sure yours will be a blessing in the long run. good luck with everything... Should be fun to see the Ukraine and to adopt!!!
p.s. how long do you have to wait until you can be ceiled or is it sealed (?) in the temple with your adopted children? I always mess up the wording... I told Rob that even if we can have children of our own, I want to adopt a child so they can be sealed to us for time and eternity!
We are with America World Adoption. How about you?
Patience? What is that!? LOL Patience and adoption don't go good together, although you are forced to make them fit. Sigh.
