Meet Jasper

So one of the items on Anna's list for Santa Claus was a cat. Yikes. I grew up with persian cats, but Tyler? Well, let's just say that he loathes felines. Tyler mentioned that while I was in Ukraine he was teaching Anna about prayer. He said that you should think of something that you want and pray about it. Immediately afterward, Anna prayed and asked for a cat. Tyler was surprised, to say the least. Well, the prayer worked because my husband's heart has been softened to allowing a CAT into our home. "Santa" brought Jasper on Christmas Eve. And there was much rejoicing by Anna in the morning! Here are some pictures:

Jasper is 16 weeks old. He seems big to me for that age.
Maggie got her hair and nails done - isn't she cute with her two red bows?

I think that Maggie & Jasper are going to be good friends. Currently they are sleeping side by side on the bed. What do you think of our new addition?

Not a fan of cats, and Jeff is super allergic. I'm glad that Anna is happy.

Maggie looks pretty adorable though.

I love cats... especially the cuddly ones. My, how your family has grown this last year!!! Love the bows in Maggie's hair too. :)

Now I'm jealous. I can't wait until we live in a place where we are allowed to have a dog and/or a cat. We hope to have at least one of each someday. They're both adorable!

He's so cute! I love cats. Jason inherited the cat that I had growing up when he married me (she is 16 years old) and most of the time he just tolerates her for my sake. What a good husband! :) What kind of cat is he? Looks like he might have some Siamese blood in him...?

So fun! Our kids would love to play at your house! (By the way, I think you and Tyler are aging beautifully!)

Is his last name Hale? ;)

You never told me you got a cat! Very cute! My mom is allergic, so alas, we will never own one, but Calet loves them.

How lovely that both of your pets get along so well!

Yeah I'm a bit sad about Dad not being able to meet Alex or our future baby Teran's, but it will only make our reunion that much better. :)

I would have to be who would give into any kind of animal besides a fish. I wish I were a pet lover, but I would rather other people loved them and house them. I am happy for Anna though.

I'm heartless. LOL I despise cats and I dislike dogs, but not as much as I dislike cats. However I do think it is good for children to grow up with a pet...I will probably have to soften MY heart. ;)

Not so excited about cats myself...but it is cute about how Tyler's "heart was softened" :) I love your previous post! Isn't marriage wonderful. We can grow and learn to be so much better with a companion. Kit teaches me to relax and I practice my patience daily :) I hope I am the good kind of structure he needs to thrive. I love the picture of your face when you guys are cutting the cake. LOL. I totally understand and it is cute. Thanks for your blog. I love keeping up with you!

I think they will get along well; it certainly looks like they will. Our poor puppies want so much to get along with our cat, but sadly, they are scared of him (though he has no front claws).
