Sunday Dress

Being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints means that when I was young we always dressed up every Sunday for church. It was just "how things were" and that's "how things are" now. Here is Kristina:

And Keith:
And Anna:

Since November we've been going to church for just Sacrament meeting and then usually I would take Keith & Kristina home afterwards - since church is overstimulating for them. Today we thought we might stay a bit longer - until Kristina's meltdown halfway through the meeting. We found someone to bring Anna home so she could stay in Primary and we brought them both home - FYI we're down to just one car right now - and I am glad that we made that choice. Within 10 minutes of being home - both children had diaper blowouts. I don't want to imagine having to deal with that 10 minutes away from our bathtub at home. Tyler took a picture of Kristina's blowout - but I'll save you that mental image, much to your gratitute, I'm sure.

I am no stranger to diaper blowouts. Cara has to have a bath every time she goes #2. Thank goodness for indoor plumbing!

So cute! This phase won't last forever. Soon they'll be able to stay the whole time and will be loving it...or at least faking it anyway. It will still be a long day for them, but it will happen.

In the meantime, DEFINATELY make sure Anna can still go to Primary every week. She needs that normalcy and familiarity in her life, even if the little ones aren't ready for it yet. And let's be honest - she also needs the spiritual boost and a break from the little ones as well. Any little thing like this you can do to keep her from getting lost in teh shuffle now will be so worth it in the coming months.

WOW!!!! Is Keith's face ever filling out!!! He doesn't look like a starving orphan anymore, but a healthy little boy! I can't tell so much from Kristina's pictures today, but I sure can with Keith's!

Baby steps...they're making baby steps. That's awesome! Just the fact that she got halfway through the service is awesome! :)
Thanks for sparing us the blowout pictures. I have enough mental pictures leftover from my four kids! ;)

LOL, thank you for no diaper blowout pictures. I get enough of those right here in my own house. Can't say I've ever captured the movement oops moment.

The kids look so happy and healthy. We dressed up for Sunday school too growing up. My grandmother used to make us the cutest dresses with matching purses.
