I am like a star

Since school has begun, we've been implementing a bedtime routine - it seems much more difficult to follow it during the summer. We usually eat dinner from 5-6pm, then bathtime at 6pm, 6:30pm get in jammies and read a scripture story - we're in the Old Testament right now. Then I hold each child and sing 3 songs while rocking them. I always sing "Love you forever", and usually two other primary songs. One of the primary songs that I've been singing every night lately is "I am like a star":

I am like a star shining brightly,
Smiling for the whole world to see.
I can do and say happy things each day,
For I know Heav’nly Father loves me.

It seems like the perfect song for my little ones and a great reminder to me of the good I can do each day.

Happy birthday to you! Your cake looked scrumptious!! I love that song. I've actually been singing it to Gunner a lot lately...it seems to be one of his favorites. What a great bed-time schedule!

Aw, that's so sweet. Bedtime routines are great, aren't they? I sang "I am like a star" to Joshua last night, thanks to your idea =)
