Paradise, thy name art Florida

Okay, so I am surprised that more people aren't moving to FL. Seriously! This weather is unbelievable! It's 70 degrees and we're just 2 minutes from the beach AND we have our own private swimming pool in our backyard. Today I went swimming with the twins while Tyler took Anna on a canoe up the river. There's so much to do here. I may never leave.

Tyler's birthday was yesterday. He is now 32 years old. He & I went out for lunch, then the kids & I took balloons and candy up to his work, followed by our swimming in our pool - it's finally warm enough - and eating dinner at a nearby hotel restaurant which is RIGHT on the beach! I sure love my husband - I hope he had a great day, I know that I did!

I am planning to cancel my contract with Tmobile. I want to sign on with a cell phone company that has no contracts, where you go month-to-month. So - tell me what deals you've found out there? Tyler plans to get a cell phone that you pre-pay on the minutes, since he doesn't use his phone that much. Any deals on that? Let me know!

I'm glad you're enjoying your time there! I'm looking forward to similar weather on the opposite side of the country...

I'm not sure about regular cell phones, but we got a "Go Phone" that we use as a 2nd cell phone. We don't use it much, but it comes in handy when we both need a cell phone. It's a pay as you go - I'm not sure how much it cost (Alex put minutes on it last time), but I thought it wasn't a bad deal.

Like your header picture Jill. Glad you all are enjoying living in FL. It did seem like a nice place to be when we visited this year.

You like the weather now, while it's mild. Wait until the summer and hurricane season start before making a final judgment. ;)

As someone, who supports Vodafone (the minority owner of Verizon), I'd like to point you towards them.

Florida... I think people don't move there in hordes, because when they hear Florida they think of aligators, hurricanes, and Horatio Caine. :-)

Before you cancel with T-mobile talk to them about their no contract plan... seriously they have some of the best prices out there I have seen!
...not to mention I have T-mobile and you NEVER call me! LOL Hey. I'm a free call regardless!

I take it you've never been to Florida in the summer? It makes Ohio summers look cool and dry!

I hate cell phones. I have one simply for emergencies (like when my son's school has had to call me because he was sick and I needed to pick him up, etc.) I have a TracFone from Wal-Mart and it's great. If you add more minutes before your others are out, they never expire. I have an automatic double minutes card and so everytime I buy 60 minutes for $20, I automatically get 120. It's a good deal.

I hate contracts too.

I use Tracfone and have found it to be the cheapest pay as you go. But some pay as you go do have monthly plans you can sign up for, like Virgin Mobile where you can pay a flat fee for unlimited service per month. You add cards per month, but then if you don't add minutes each month with virgin you get cancelled of the monthly plan. I pay 9 cents a minutes for my cell phone with Tracfone. I prefer the pay as you go and after having one for more than two years now, I don't know why anyone gets a contract plan anymore.
