Dahle Reunion 2011

My dad's family has a reunion every two years. As a child, I looked forward to these reunions with great anticipation. Now, as an adult, I feel the same excitement to see my beloved family members. I only wish I didn't have to wait the 2 years before I see them again. This year, the reunion took place at The Don Cesar Beach House Suites in St Pete's Beach, FL. The beach house suite was so beautiful - we had a view of the beach from our private balcony - and we had a great time being on the beach and taking advantage of the hotel amenities. My only complaint is that the reunion was too short this year - only two full days of fun! We made sure to pack as much as we could in those days, though. We had the Dahle Games competition (ping pong, shuffleboard, and beach volleyball), a trip to the Orlando Temple to do family work, swimming in the pool, games, and devotionals where we learned more about our ancestors. I especially enjoyed feeling the holy spirit as my relatives shared pertinent stories about our family. It was great to meet new relatives (by marriage) and strengthen the family ties.

Dinner at SEA CRITTERS

There was a competition for the best sunset picture.

Beach fun!

We loved swimming in the pool! Keith was so excited to swim that he put on Iryna's swimsuit bottoms. ha ha!

This was taken just before we went to the Orlando Temple. What a good looking group!

Pictures outside the Orlando Temple. It is just beautiful!

Dinner at Chevy's and a picture of 4 of the 5 Dahle siblings. We missed you, Uncle David!

Anna formed a strong friendship with her cousin, Dylan. They were inseparable!

More Dahle Games.

The beach brings a perfect backdrop for pictures!

Lunch at Bubba Gump's Restaurant. I had the best coconut shrimp I've ever had in my life. So good.

Game night: girls played QUIRKLE and guys played Settler's of Catan. It was so fun - we were up until 3 am!

Some sunsets and a picture of The Don Cesar. Beautiful, eh?

Can't wait for the next reunion!

WOW!! Looks like you had an amazing time! The food looks super yummy and all that beach time must have been so much fun. That's so wonderful that you have an extended family that all gets together on a regular basis :-)
