Today we were in Jacksonville meeting with a panel of specialists who treat children with behavioral issues, such as FAS. We were there for 4 1/2 hours meeting with two different specialists. They sent us home with more paperwork and an appointment to return in December. Halfway through the second evaluation, Iryna started screaming. They brought me back to help calm her down. As I was walking back to the room, I prayed that I would be able to calm her down. The thought came to my mind that Iryna needs a strong mama and that she was meant to be my daughter. It was a wonderful comfort to hear that. I was able to hold her and she stopped screaming and did well through the evaluation. She was nervous and didn't understand why we were there, neither did she know these people - but she rose above it and completed everything. I am proud of her.
This is a busy week. My in laws arrive tomorrow. Tomorrow I will be making the desserts portion of the Thanksgiving feast (pumpkin pie, apple pie, chocolate cream pie, banana cream pie, & coconut cream pie) and brining the turkey. Then on Thursday I will bake the turkey, make the sweet potato casserole, holiday mashed potatoes, gravy, rolls, green bean casserole, & creamed corn.
And then on Friday we leave for the cruise. SO excited!
Last week I went to see Breaking Dawn Part 1 - it was enjoyable! However, there was WAY too much shown on the honeymoon. I had to look away a few times because it showed so much. Ugh. I went with some other AF wives and we went to Chili's afterwards:
Because we are hopefully going back to Russia in December, I decided to put up the Christmas decorations. Just so you know - I have NEVER put up Christmas decorations prior to Thanksgiving in my life, but I wanted to see them before going to Russia.

Yesterday I had a Choffy tasting party at my house. I was worried about attendance, but then we had 20 ladies come! I scored a free bag of Choffy and I can't wait for my french press to arrive. :) I made my amish breakfast casserole and pumpkin banana bread to go with the choffy - so good. I put creamer and stevia in the choffy - delicious! My friend Tina is a distributor.

Wow, what a full life you lead! I'm glad that you had that special experience with Iryna. How wonderful to have that reconfirmed to you and that she was able to do well during the evaluation.
That sounds like quite the feast! Hope it all turns out well!
Have an absolutely amazing time on your cruise. You deserve it :)
I'm glad you had fun going to see the movie. I'd heard there were some questionable parts, so I appreciate hearing your perspective.
Your tree is beautiful!
Love you, cuz!
Sooooo....I was trying to be secretive, but since you sent me a facebook request, I'm guessing you figured out that I'm matched to you in the Trauam Momma exchange! Yay!!!! You lights are beautiful! I'm hoping you get the news you're waiting for from Russia soon.
Your dinner sounds so yummy! I love your Christmas Tree. I am glad you are able to enjoy your decorations before you go out of town.
