Another wonderful friend of mine blessed me by mailing vinyl names for each of my children that she made. They are beautiful and in the cutest fonts - plus the they are BIG! Iryna's name is 23 inches wide and 10 inches tall! And so, my question for all of you crafty people (you know who you are) is to know how to mount such cute vinyl names. We will only be in FL for 4 more months and in OH for only 18 months. I would prefer to mount the names onto something so it can be reused, since, well, we're in the Air Force and that means that we move around a lot. Keep in mind that it needs to be ultra cheap and not too difficult, ie, involved hack saws or rotary-tool-like-thingys (<---the previous word may or not make any sense) so go easy on me.
My phone died and was (thankfully) still under warranty, so I mailed it in on Monday and imagine my surprise when a replacement arrived today! Hooray! That's some turnaround, people at APPLE! And it was all free. The only thing they forgot was to include a SIM card, so I

So wonderful to hear, Jill! I love the way the Lord works through angels on earth to help us in our lives. About the vinyl: I go to Home Depot/Lowes and buy a nice stright piece of pine. Plywood even works. I would take along one of the vinyl names so you can measure the proper size of wood you'll need. If you know exactly how many you need and can show them how you want it cut, they'll cut it for you for free! Once you get it home, just sand the wood and then paint it. If you have hardware for the back, hammer that in. (I cheat sometimes and buy the 3M velcro wall strips)Place the vinyl where you want it and then modge podge over it with a sponge brush. Let that dry and do another coat. This helps to seal the vinyl, keeping it firmly in place and safe from curious little fingers that like to peel things. ;)It's as easy as that! Modge Podge is a craft store clear adhesive and is VERY sticky. Whatever it gets on will be ruined or stuck for good so use care with that. Good luck! Post pics! ;)
Oh Jill, I'm so glad that things are getting better for you. Blessings on the heads of those who sent you that money for your van! I'm so sorry to hear about the kids bikes/scooters being stolen. It's the world we live in, isn't it? Chin up! You are a person to admire!
