Tyler LOVES the beach. He goes surfing as often as he can, but he just loves being at the beach. He has been asking me to go, but I have been resistant. 5 children at the beach didn't sound like a day at the beach, if you know what I mean. And yet, I wanted to do something special for Tyler, so without him knowing I packed up a picnic dinner and loaded all our beach stuff in the van, plus got the kids all suited up. When he came home, it was time to go and boy, he was excited! We were at the beach for 2 hours. Anna's friend, Rebecca, came with us and they had a blast together.
Silas rolled in the sand and consumed it, as I found out the next day...
Love this picture...I call it, "2 bottoms." ha ha.
Iryna had impetigo, so we went in to the clinic. All 5 of the kids plus me for 2 hours. Your pity is accepted.

How much fun--so glad you guys had a nice time...despite a few "hiccups"... :) Glad the kids made some fun and awesome new memories with each other!!! :D
We fight with impetigo too. Our pediatrician wrote us a prescription for two tubes of Mupirocin with three refills, and I filled it each month so we would have it on hand for when we need it. Now I don't have to take everyone to the doctor just so they can say "Yep, impetigo". ;)
Aaah, I miss the beach! Looks like you guys had a wonderful time. Love you, cuz!
When we first got to Hawaii i was worried about taking all 5 to the beach, but it is one of the best family activities for us. We absolutely love the beach. it's one of the places the kids can run, explore, play, dig and have space to be. It's so peaceful and relaxing! So glad you had fun!! And what a great wife to be so supportive and thoughtful for your hubby. ;)
