Forgiveness

We had our Fast Sunday this past Sunday, due to Stake Conference this coming Sunday. I have been thinking about forgiveness for the past month and determined that that would be my topic for fasting. I have been reading THE MIRACLE OF FORGIVENESS by Spencer W. Kimball and it has been most enlightening. Like everyone, I have been offended and hurt by people in my 33 years of life. Some experiences still bring me pain when I think of them. I am also a sensitive person, who tends to be offended easily. I recognize that people aren't perfect (myself included) and so there will be many more painful experiences to come. I also don't have much experience in forgiving others. I know they the scriptures say that to be forgiven, you must forgive. During my fast, I had the thought that if I can learn how to forgive others, and make it a regular part of my life, that I will be offended less often. I would love to hear your experiences with forgiveness. If you would rather not publicly comment on them, feel free to email me at jilldpierce at yahoo dot com.

I'm a little different. I've gotten a thick skin over time and let a lot of things slide, so now it takes a lot to offend me. But when I am offended, it is *really* hard for me to forgive. I'm still working on it. Good luck with your journey!
