Surgery Date Changed

This past Thursday, I received a phone call at 7pm asking if we wanted to bump up Calvin's surgery to this coming Monday. Um, sure! Bring it on. So, we have been busy little bees getting childcare set up for Silas, etc, and rearranging schedules, which included celebrating Calvin's birthday today - one week early. This kid has been W A I T I N G for his birthday ever since we adopted him in April. And he has endured just about everyone else's birthday in our family before his. The boy is excited. He awoke to 6 orange balloons from the Balloon Fairy. We made our traditional breakfast: strawberry crepes.




Calvin played wii and on his leapster. He was thrilled that it was his day. For dinner, he requested "chicken" so I made the beloved biscuit topped chicken pie which he loved. For dessert, we had cupcakes.

Calvin received four puzzles, a letters and numbers matching game, and footsie pajamas. He was very excited!










Happy Birthday, Calvin! You are six years old and a very smart boy. It amazes me how well you understand things. Your daddy thinks you will be an engineer when you grow up. You are a hard worker and if you see something that needs to be done, you will do it without even being asked. We love you, Calvin!
