Discipline And Patience Are Borne By Disappointment

This morning Anna & I went to the consignment shop and listed some more items. I'm about to hit 100 items that I have listed there. Amazing...especially because I still have junk around the house that I don't need! I am excited to be downsizing. It's a unique feeling...I've always been a packrat. Tyler & I were just discussing last night how our first apartment was a 1 bedroom apartment with one tiny area for storage. We fit everything we had in it. However, as time went on and our living quarters increased in size...so did our belongings. I used to like having so much stuff...now I prefer simplicity of living. ahhh, yes, simplicity.

Anna & I went grocery shopping, got some gas and headed home to eat lunch and play a game before Anna got on the bus. It was rainy outside when she got on the bus, and so I thought I probably wouldn't get to exercise. Thinking this, I went to work getting things done inside the house. By the time I realized that the sun had come out and it was in the 60s outside--Anna was due home soon. However, when Tyler came home, I was able to get a 20 minute walk in. :)

While reading my scriptures today, in the bible dictionary, under the topic of "Faith," I came across the title for this blog: "Discipline and patience are borne by disappointment." It really caught my attention. Perhaps I will become more patient and disciplined by not getting those solos?? It also seems to apply to our not becoming pregnant for the past 4 years that we've been trying...who knows, but that phrase just rings true for me.

We need to downsize too. And I'd like to do it before we move in May. The less packing I do the better...
