News

We have decided that we are going to pursue international adoption and are looking mainly at the Ukraine or Russia. We'd like to adopt 2 children: one girl (2-3 years of age) and one boy (under 12 months old). My goal is to have them here by Christmas. It can take up to a year, but I'm hoping it won't take that long. We're very excited about it and can't wait to grow our family! :o)

In other news, I have tennis elbow - actually to be more specific - I have wii tennis elbow. Yeah. Fun stuff. Now I'm using my left arm and hoping not to have two wii tennis elbows. :o)

Wow, Jill! That is so exciting! Have you already started the process then? How soon will you get to meet your kids? If a year is the longest it will take, what is the shortest time? I'm very excited for you!

WOW and Double WOW! Fantastic. That is so very exciting. Perhaps those little ones need to be in your home before any babies can come.

An interesting note. After we adopted Kirsten we applied to adopt a second one before I found out I was pregnant with Helena. I asked the social worker if we could just go ahead with the adoption and raise them as twins, but she said "no"

We will keep you in our prayers too!

Love, Kathey

What a wonderful thing, Jill! I'm so excited for your family. I hope you all speed in this undertaking. Those children obviously need wonderful parents and you and Tyler will definitely fit the bill. Good luck!

How about a little Brazilian baby or even a little American baby or even a little Ethiopian baby?

I'm thinking along the same lines as what Kathey said. The Lord probably has a plan for some of His other children, and maybe that plan includes you. If you were having your own children, you probably wouldn't be looking at adoption. Anyhow, that's exciting. Good luck and have faith (with action)! :)
