Pumpkin Story

I received the following via email today...

Being a Christian is like being a pumpkin.
Christ lifts you up, takes you in, and washes all the dirt off of you.
He opens you up, touches you deep inside and scoops out all the yucky stuff-- including the seeds of doubt, hate, greed, etc.
Then He carves you a new smiling face and puts His light inside you to shine for all the world to see.
This was passed on to me from another little pumpkin!
Go ahead and send it to all the pumpkins in YOUR patch!!
Happy Fall!

Tyler's afterthought:

Then...

After a day of shining brightly, you shrivel and mold. If you are not
then tossed in the trash, you become a juicy puddle of yuckiness...

Moral of the story: analogies have their limits.

I'm sure Peter would have come up with the same remark at the end of the pumpkin analogy. What is it with guys?
