I'm having surgery in the morning...

Ding dong, the bells are gonna chime! Take out the tonsils, get me some ice cream, but get me to the hospital on time! (Name that movie) Tomorrow is my tonsillectomy - fun times, my faithful readers! I am grateful to my friend, Valerie, for stepping in to save the day and watching my kids during the procedure, so my honey bunny can be with me. Currently I am drinking as many fluids as I can so that I will be hydrated before I don't want to drink anything at all. I would appreciate your thoughts and prayers as this is in all reality a surgery in a hospital.

I sang in church in today - When He Comes Again, from the Primary Songbook. It's a lovely song and I accompanied myself as I sang - a first for me. I felt stretched and I enjoyed it. There's a sense of freedom in accompanying onself, you can slow down and enunciate words that you want to throughout the song. Perhaps I should improve my piano skills so I can do more of this in the future. :o)

My Fair Lady! I'm all over the Audrey Hepburn references. Good luck!

Such a good movie/play...and now I'm going to have that song in my head all day!

That's a beautiful song. I've never accompanied myself for an actual performance--done it plenty of times at home, but not in public. I should try it sometime. Wish I could have heard you sing!

Hope the surgery goes well and recovery is swift =)
