Don’t give up. Don’t you quit. You keep walking. You keep trying. There is help and happiness ahead. You keep your chin up. It will be all right in the end. Trust God and believe in good things to come. Some blessings come soon, some come late, and some don’t come until heaven; but for those who embrace the gospel of... Jesus Christ, they come. -Elder Jeffrey R. Holland

Storing clothing
What do you do with your winter clothes when it is summer? Likewise, in the winter do you put away your summer clothes? My closet doens't hold both wardrobes at the same time so I am looking for a way to store my other set. I am keenly interested in one of those air-suction-bag-thingys that you can put clothes in and suck the air out so they take up less room. Anyone know what I'm talking about? Discuss.

Not a bad idea. I'm big on rubber maid bins (with lids) that I keep all of the kids outgrown clothes (for hand-me-downs) and out of season clothes in. I just label them with tape of the size and whether they are separated by season or not and stick them up in the attic. It protects them for insects and easy to stack.
I use rubbermaid boxes. I tried switching baby clothes to those vacuum bag things, and it was horrid. I really wanted to take up less space, and tried the name brand and a generic version, and about 1/3 of them tore the first time I used them, so they are just big expensive ziplocks. I had overfilled one, but the others I left extra space and they still tore. My sis has used them for years with no problem though, so maybe I'm just missing something.
I don't have two sets of clothes so I don't have to worry about it. But I think zip lock makes storage bags that don't require suction. You just roll them to squeeze out the air. Not as efficient, but for simple minded people like me it makes sense.
Yup, I use them all the time. They work great. Love them for storing stuff under the bed especially. However, don't overfill them and be gentle with them because once they get little holes in them, they reinflate themselves pretty quickly.
We use the space under our beds and store things in rubbermaid boxes. We have also gotten really good at being minimalistic esp now that we have NO space for extras. So, just the clothes they really need have made it into the closets. The "Winter" stuff is in boxes under beds or in closets in boxes. Good luck!
