What goes around comes around...

It's hard to believe that my family has been sick for 2 weeks and that I have been sick for almost one full week. This morning I woke up with no voice. Every time I try to say something - it sounds so incredibly pitiful. I am hoping that we will all get better soon - but I keep hearing how many people are home sick, so it makes me think we might continue being sick for a while yet.

We are still working on packing up/moving out. Tomorrow we're going to get a storage unit and start taking over boxes that we've already filled. It's a good feeling knowing that because we started packing up early that (hopefully) we won't be overwhelmed with tons things to do right before we move. We decided that we would stay in the temporary housing on-base because they have pet-friendly rooms, but when we called they said all their pet-friendly rooms were booked, so the AF is going to pay for us to have 10 free nights in a pet-friendly hotel! SCORE! So, it turns out that we will only have to pay for 2-3 nights in a hotel instead of 2 weeks!

We found a hotel with a nice hot breakfast so I won't have to worry about breakfast for my family. I plan to just let the kids buy lunches at school (we are lunch packers, usually) since I won't have a kitchen and then I will only have to worry about dinner.

I am quite excited to live in a hotel for 2 weeks. Hello Housekeeping! I feel like it will be a 2 week vacation. I can focus on digital scrapbooking/reading/genealogy while the kids are in school. After all the stress from my surgery, complications from the surgery, sickness, and getting ready to move - having some down-time seems to be just what the doctor ordered.

Wow, that's awesome! Good for you guys for packing up so early :) I hope the hotel stay gives you plenty of time to rest and recuperate. I hope you get well soon, too!

That will be so nice!! I loved catching up on your blog. We have had Brian's parents in town and I haven't had my sit down "me" time! I hope the move goes well for you guys! I LOVE the pictures of your family all dressed in white! They turned out so good. Hey I was wondering what digital scrapbook program you use. I have been wanting to get into it, but the one I bought I really don't like all that much. I would love some suggestions!
