Busy with school

Wow. I've been super busy this week. I am thoroughly enjoying this nursing program. Love it. I am surprised by how much I enjoy what I'm learning AND by how easily it is coming to me. My fellow classmates have commented every day this week how natural I am in this arena. And you know what? I feel the same way. Where has nursing been all my life? It is such a great fit for me. I love helping people. I feel that I have a skill or talent in reading people's emotions. What better avenue to use this ability than with those people who are sick or afflicted? I had my first quiz on Wednesday and scored a 100%. Tomorrow I have 3 tests and another one on Monday. Today we worked on blood pressure, taking pulse and respirations. My teacher said that I have the best pulse in the class - meaning, it's the easiest to feel. Aren't you all proud??

Of course, I couldn't do what I'm doing without my husband, Tyler. He is amazing. He helps with the kids a lot in the mornings and in the evenings. He has made dinner twice this week. And one meal wasn't a throw-together-sort-of-meal, either. I was and am impressed by his support for me in this program. Everyday he tells me how proud he is of me. Everyday he tells me that I can do this. Like I said, he is amazing.

The kids are doing really well. Anna has been selected to be in a 3/4th grade class. I guess it's an inbetween class? She's super excited that she was "chosen" for this class. We just got her report card - all As with one B. She's so intelligent.

Keith is obsessed with the water hose. When Tyler works on the garden, it's Keith's "job" to water the flowers and plants. Tyler says that he pretty much waters the entire lawn and then some. Well, one day the water hose ripped, so Tyler took it and cut up a small section for Keith to play with inside. If you know Keith - and you all do - he loves to eat, anytime, anywhere. Wellllll, I think that Keith loves this water hose MORE than food. (I KNOW!) Today I told him that it was time for dinner. Instead of jumping up and down, he started whining to play with his water hose. He is obsessed, I tell you!

Iryna loves playing wii super mario brothers with us. It is the first thing she says to me when I get her off the bus. The funny thing is...she's not very good at it. She knows this, and yet, she still can't wait to play, even though her character usually dies within seconds of starting to play. Such a funny girl.
