Calvin's disappointments

The following occurred yesterday:

Last night was the open house for school for the older four kids. We went one by one visiting each teacher. When we reached Calvin's classroom, the lights were off and the door the locked. Calvin began to cry as we walked out to the car.

Fast forward to today. I get my kids all dressed up and send them to school. Three minutes after school began, I get a phone call from the school. Apparently...kindergarten begins NEXT week. Not this week. I went and picked him up.

Tyler came home from class and asked Calvin why he was home from school. Calvin replied, "I went to school, but I had to come home because they didn't want me there."

So sad! 😢
