This is the pain that never ends...

and it goes on and on, my friends. Yesterday I got a headache and Tyler gave me some excedrin. The headache cleared up and I actually started feeling pretty okay (hello, caffeine). I was also having some major cabin fever so I went shopping for a couple of hours. About 15 minutes after I got home I had a major headache attack - I've never had anything like that before - and I was screaming in pain. Tyler gave me a blessing of comfort and then called a sitter over (it was 10:30pm at this point) and he & I went to the ER. It turns out (surprise, surprise) that I have dehydration plus a possible migraine. They gave me 2 liters of saline and some anti-nausea meds, plus some pain meds for my headaches. Thankfully the nurse got the iv in on the first stick - unlike the last time we went to the ER there AND all the sticks with now bruises from the surgery on monday. We left the hospital at 2am.

I slept until 10am this morning - anticipating that I would feel much better, but woke up with a headache and just not feeling good at all. *sigh* I do not know how people survive who live in constant pain. I've had pain for less than a week and I find myself searching for something to be happy about - which ususally isn't difficult for me to do. However, I am growing closer to my Savior and am trying to have a good perspective on this situation - viewing it as an experience I am having to be tested in this life and then feeling the real relief that comes from the atonement.

Currently I am listening to my classical playlist on this blog...very soothing and encouraging. I especially like the adagio for strings by barber. I kind of feel like that song right now, in the beginning part, where the music is intense minor and it's being stretched and stretched and then eventually...major and victorious. That's probably one of my all-time favorite songs. Love it. Do me a favor - if you're feeling good today and aren't in any pain, celebrate it for me, will you? Say a prayer and thank your father in heaven for his blessings.

I will do that, however.. I will cancel those clowns I sent you.

They always bring you down.

Hugs and more hugs... I so much know how headaches feel... I live with them so much and I am allergic to so many other medications and some medications just don't mix well with my Epilepsy medications so in reality the only thing I can take is ordinary Tylenol and that barely touches it...

Get well...

I know it's not the same, but it reminds me of how miserably sick I was for the first four and a half months of my pregnancy. Morning sickness, my eye--more like 24/7 sickness! And then to have it last so long...I've never been so incapacitated in my life, and it was no fun! I hope that things improve for you quickly.
